well I got a problem with actually seeing what some of you guys write. The blue text that Cariad uses when she writes is one example.
I got a partial colorblindness problem and seeing that blue versus the grey/black of the background is pretty much impossible without actually highlighting everything in the post.
clearer colors might help :)

sry for any inconvenience but it would be real helpful.

I must concur Logic1--it's difficult for me and I'm not colorblind! I can't imagine the difficulties it must present for you. A temporary solution? I highlight dark text to enhance the contrast.

The background colour of the site used not to be jet black, but pink-red, and when we changed colour scheme and some other design it made some colours (dark blue, for instance) unreadable. Some of us are not very happy with the current colour scheme (it makes photos appear small and kind of cramped as well).

You can highlight "dark text" by simply marking it up with the mouse; then it gets easy to read.

yes I know Louise.
That is what I am doing but I would love if I didnt HAVE to do it to be able to read the text :D

Logic, when I come across a post I have trouble reading I highlight it, this gives me a dark text against a white background, or you can simply hit quote, which will then put the post in the answer bow, black on white.

This is one of the things I suggested during the recent poll about the site color scheme and setup. Personally I would like a customizable color scheme, one that I could edit. Change the text of everyone to one default color for example.

Yes - sorry about my old blue text. I wish I could find a way to change it en masse. Unfortunately that is not possible, but I am starting to change it when I come across it, but that is a long term project.

I have made no secret of my dislike of the present colour scheme, and would love a customizable scheme as ID suggested. When I find the preset one particularly trying I override using browser settings, but creates its own problems. I noticed that whilst I was away Tiger ran a thread about it, so, although I don't like the outcome, I guess the matter is now closed.

My guess is that a customizable color scheme would only be available if this site switched from being free to being a pay site.

Logic - I am slowly working through changing my texts - basically as I come across them I change them. Are too many to plough through the whole lot. But if are you reading any - please PM me the link - since that means it is a post which is not dormant.

Thanks
cariad
