Here's the topic (http://www.bdsmlibrary.com/forums/showpost.php?p=266179&postcount=12)for July:

July - Lets throw a curve and have a topic based on the popular Fun and Games thread, The Iron Poet Challenge. Submit a piece that contains the three words given.

The three words are: contrite, entreat, desecrate

Now, if you aren't familiar with the Iron Poet Challenge, you can find it here (http://www.bdsmlibrary.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7048).

For the purpose of the poetry contest this month, the rules are:

1. Use the three (3) challenge words in a poem. Variations are allowed (example: if the word is 'walk', then walks, walked or walking would be acceptable)

2. Any poetic form (free verse, sonnet, sestina, etc) is permitted.

3. Have fun!

Good luck to all of you! I can't wait to read this month's fabulous poems!

Contritely i kneel for my sins
yearning for the answer of how ive fallen
forgive me Master, be patient
You are my guide, for whom i fall to my knees

My soul is always with you
entreatingly i beg to know your pleasure
forgive me Master, let me grow in your guidance
love me for my sins, and teach me how to please you

i'm only just learning of my true self
knowing i long to serve you
to desecrate the sanctity of the love we have
would destroy my soul

You are, i belong.

Creature They Could Not Kill

Never would she know never would she grow how did she find herself so contrite
Never so bold never to be sold, pledging was the key but where was the lock

universal in time universally mine she desecrated her body black and blue with stitches from her adolescent abuse

Universal in time universally mine the cosmic magic of fate brought her to the doorstep of my haunted mind

Entreatingly so on her knees like a doe she surrendered her heart to me in a basket
Entreatingly so offering me her soul what tolls in her next life would she have to pay from her casket

Taking her little hand yes I have a plan I will pick the lock to her heart oh yes I will
Taking her little hand through the ages of sand I will hunt her forever in the life after next

Show your face to me let us always be never hide yourself from your Masters Sight
Show your face to me let us always be set down your arms girl for the time is over you never have to fight.

Nestle yourself in my chest you have passed the test your demons have become mine to slay
Nestle yourself in my chest I love you no less I know you have killed them millions of times but somehow still found your way

You appeared, suddenly,
like a ray of hope in my life.
I thought all joy came from you,
All goodness.
I bathed in our bliss.
Why should I now be contrite?

You took everything I offered
And with a smile,
A cold, chilling, careless smile,
You crushed it in a callous fist.
It did not happen overnight,
But slowly, drip by heartless drip,
You bled me dry.
No amount of begging, no entreaty
Could stop you, or divert you
From your perverse road:
For it was perverse.
Every action, every word, every lift of an eyebrow
Was preconceived and predetermined.
With purpose and deliberation,
You ruthlessly, relentlessly destroyed our love,
Desecrating all that had been sacred to us.
Why should I now be contrite?

For when you finally had shattered,
Battered and ground to dust all hope and beauty,
Then you found you needed me.
And I, hurt beyond despair, hit back;
displayed and flaunted myself before you,
dragging other lovers unwilling into the depths,
as you wept with a mad desire
that could never be fulfilled.
I watched, gleeful, crowing, revelling
as you crumbled slowly before me,
to leave a snivelling wreck.
Why should I now be contrite?

After something I heard in the chatroom I think it is necessary to point out that every entry, including Lord Hemloc's stays. At the time of entry they were all valid. As is shown beside his name, Lord Hemloc has now had to be banned, he will however be informed of the results of the poll.

Please vote for according to the merits of the entry, not of the contestant.
