I found this today looking around online and was a little into trying it out(not on me but a sub)
A vacuum bed (also known as a vac bed) is a rubber device used for the purposes of rubber fetishism and bondage. It is usually comprised of two sheets of latex or a rectangular latex bag secured by a metal or plastic tube frame, used for sealing a person inside. A zip usually provides side entry, which must be re-zipped to allow for a partial vacuum to form inside the vacuum bed.

Latex can be replaced by plastic sheeting and a PVC frame for those wishing to make one on a budget. Doing this however, could reduce sexual excitement, due to the loss of shiny / stretchy properties which latex is well known for, the feel against ones skin is also lost and depending on the strength of the replacement material it may allow some movement.

A powerful home vacuum cleaner can be applied to the task of removing air from between the two sheets of latex, thereby throroughly encapsulating the user within the two sheets of rubber now held together by external air pressure. It is usually needed that the vacuum cleaner be permanently switched on in order to maintain the vacuum; however some beds have one-way valves and are airtight around the zip. This allows the vacuum cleaner to be switched off and the subject can be left to contemplate what has just happened to them in peace.

It is necessary for the user to be equipped with a breathing tube, or some form of mask to avoid obvious suffocation. There is also a danger of positional asphyxia, as well as the other dangers associated with bondage activities.

Vacuum sleep sacks can be fun be careful it can be dangerous if you keep the sub/slave in it too long.

the look of a vacuum bed is tantalizing to say the least. Cant say that I wish to try it out myself but the look of a pretty girl inside yepyep.
seems like Sir Russel has tried it(on somebody) so I guess his advice is all good.

well as for me I would be scared to try it myself but I would love to have a sub in it.To see them helpless and at my mercy would make me smiles

Indeed. I can't seem to shake the StarWars preserved in carbon association though ;)
How much does this restrain movement?
The techie in me is thinking full-body casts as a spin-off.
("wow, that statue is really lifelike!"
"Um, well...thank you?")

Be Careful! The Vac Bed COMPLETLY restrains ANY Movement, and cramping in the feet especialy can be servere over prolonged use. Also, the breathing tube may make it hard for You to hear the Safe Word or let Your Dom know when You or Your Sub are in trouble.

Yes the look is striking and the effect is total imobilization.

The goth club where I like to hang out sometimes hosts vac bed demonstrations, courtesy of a local latex vendor. Everyone seems to have fun trying it out, and/or feeling up their SOs who are trying it out. :) It is exciting to get a look at all the local hotties in such a helpless position.

I've always been a little bit resistant to doing one of the demos (they charge $1) because after carefully picking out slimming black clothes that hide my flabby places, the last thing I want to do is let everyone see me in vacuum-packed form. :p The other thing that gave me pause was something a friend of mine said: "Imagine how much you'd sweat if you were in one of those for a while... you know the way your skin feels after you take off a band-aid? What if your whole body felt like that?"

I'm betting it did not feel like a band-aid was removed from your entire body but maybe a nice body powder ahead of time would help ease your fears of that happening.

Yes I have experience with them and again I stress caution time limit in them should be 15 to 30 minutes to start and I don't think anyone should ever go beyond an hour. In the old days these were called sleep sacks or vacuum sacks. I personally never covered their head face with it. Two reasons first they need liquid because the sub will dehydrate quickly and how can I use their mouth if it is covered.
