I think I am both... is that possible?

Me too, I give with deliberation and take what's given to me, sometimes more than that, even. I guess that makes me shaded towards being a giver, but with definite taker tendencies. Okay, that probably doesn't make a lot of sense to anyone but me. :)

hrm .. I think I'm a giver to start.. then, when those I give to are able to give back and I accept readily .. well.. sometimes I accept... others I seek to take and roughly and .... cripes I should hush........... lol

most confusing

That sounded like the beginning of a interesting story. Now I'm all ate up with curiosity! :)

to add to what I wrote. I tend to give more than I take but I do like getting stuff lol.
Normally I enjoy giving more in pretty much every aspect there is, and that is something I feel pretty good about even.

I love both so I would say that I am both. I like to give, but there really is nothing better than taking. This seems like a simple enough question, why is the answer so complicated?

Hmmm.... think I'm about 78% giver and 22% taker. Although it's very difficult sometimes to be a taker.

when I take, I know I'm giving to my slave.

I actually believe more in a flower and a gardener.
The gardener tends to the flower and gives her all she needs....
But in return a flower graces the gardener with wonder.

I am the flower.

I'm an absolute giver, but I get so much out of that I sometimes wonder if its selfishness or selflessness. But they always seem to enjoy it regardless so I can't be that selfish ;)

I'm a giver. But I need to feel appreciated or I stop enjoying it. Then I tend to withdraw entirely.

I think I am a taker, because I delight in giving, but in giving I am given so much that I take....

Suspect this applies to most subs...???

Interesting turn cariad - yes I think I'd agree that in many D/s relations it is the sub that's most free to let her feelings flow out, while she's channeling the input and th energy given by the Dominant, and to express the emotional ride though her body may be bound.

I still feel I'm a giver though, having been known to come up with so many odd or wild ideas for others to pick up or play back at me. Though I'm perfectly able to develop and fulfil them myself too, of course...

I think I'm with pixie_dust on this one. Although - it does depend on the day, the situation, the person, the mood I'm in, the moon, the weather...

Exactly my point but much better phrased!

I'd say I'm both with a caveat--more of a take by instinct, but I work very hard to counteract this by being mindful of other people's wants and need. Unfortunately I'm not always as successful as I'd like to be...
