It's time once again for the Annual Library Awards! A few changes have been made but the overall idea is the same!
So, here is your task if you choose to participate! (Come on... you know you want too! :D )
~ Read through the list and nominate your favorite person for the award! You may only nominate three people per category.
~ Nominations will be accepted through September 30th.
~ If a person is nominated in more then one category they will be entered in the category with the most nominations.
~ People may be nominated this year even if they won last year!
~ Voting will start on October 1st! So think hard and get those nominations in soon!
~ If you want a bit more information about what the award is scroll to the bottom and find the award/nomination criteria in yellow!

Most Creative ~ Encouraging nominations based on who is most creative. Can be in any area... including writing, art, forum ideas, etc. (Basically anything!)
Most Interesting Dom or Domme ~ Award can go to either a MALE or a FEMALE! Encouraging nominations based on who is most interesting and insightful in their posts, general conversations, etc. Basically the best well-rounded Dom/Domme.
Most Interesting Male or Female Sub ~ Award can go to either a MALE or a FEMALE! Encouraging nominations based on who is most interesting and insightful in their posts, general conversations, etc. Basically the best well-rounded sub, male or female.

I have decided to enable the edit facility on this forum (site announcements).
There must have been a reason why Rabbit dis-enabled it, but it is really getting rather silly at the moment. Hopefully whatever that reason was is now historical, but I have enabled the option on the basis that my actions can be reversed if they later appear to be unwise.

Ok everyone... need to share two items of information with everyone concerning the nominations and the nominating process!
1) It has been mentioned that some are not comfortable in accepting their nominations for a variety of personal reasons. With that in mind, each person nominated will be contacted by pm over the next week and asked for their acceptance of the nomination before they are included in the poll. If, for some reason, the person does not wish to be nominated we will contact the nominator (sounds like a math problem or something there) and let them know so they may have the option of nominating someone else. Make sense?
2) During this discuss it was decided, as a group, that the Super MOD's and Admins (cariad, Widget, suchaminx, Tessa, and myself) are declining any nominations for the "Most Helpful" title. We feel that being "helpful" is part of our job description and is part of why we all choose to volunteer in our positions and prefer not to have recognition based on that reason. We appreciate the nominations, thank you to those of you who nominated one of us in that category, they really made us feel loved and wanted (:o), but as we said, we just wouldn't feel right excepting them in that category!
So, if you have taken the time to nominate one of us in that category please feel free to make a second post with new nomination(s) for that category in the thread and we'll take it from there!

Out of curiosity...which we all know can kill the cat...is the list of past year's nominees and voting results posted somewhere? I was looking but did not find anything. I was interested in in how long the awards have been in place....which members have been past winners....how many people vote...

Just adding that I'm declining nomination for most knowledgeable. With so many experienced Doms, switches and longtime subs around I couldn't stand for that, though I'm appreciative of the exchange of ideas here. Those who have nominated me in that category might get a pm from Annie at some point asking for a new nominee.

Tessa, since she has resigned and is no longer on staff, can now be nominated for Most Helpful as well as all other awards. And, she has agreed in advance if she is nominated so we don't have to change it again!

The issue has been resolved! Based on the spirit of the Rabbit Awards anyone no longer allowed on the forum has been removed. If they were nominated for an annual award they are still eligible. Thanks to all who have contributed and to all of the nominees! Anyone who has cast a vote which is now considered invalid has been notified by pm.
This thread is now being closed since it has served it's purpose!
