I've been reading another thread and there have been complaints of malpractice during spanking sessions. Therefore I was wondering-could anyone give me a little advice on correct procedure/etiquette in a spanking scenario, from both perspectives? I imagine as a sub the main thing is to bend over and think of England so there isn't so much to be said. But from the complimentary perspective, what are the areas to aim for, what degree of force (though I imagine this is sub-jective) and anything else that might be useful to know? Oh, and do the areas to aim for differ based on gender?

Certainly I can. It is quite simple anything she hates that isn't a hard limit. Corner standing, writing lines, refusal to talk with her, telling her how and why she FAILED YOU, never use as punishment that which you love and want her to do with and for you.

I go for mental punishment mostly but that means you need to really know her, which means you must really listen to her.

I do understand the expression "think of England" - I assumed you were talking about spanking as a punishment and for he and I it is always a pleasure. That's why England is the last thing on my mind during a spanking! :)

And yes, Sir_Russell, you are absolutely right. Using something for both pleasure and punishment kind of negates the whole punishment aspect, doesn't it? It seems to me that type of confusion would only encourage misbehavior on the sub's part rather than discourage it.

I agree with what's been said about spanking as punishment, but my master sometimes uses it as a light punishment and it works for me. I don't enjoy the spanking if I know he's not doing it for his pleasure. That said, it's definately not the choice punishment nor the most effective one. Come to think of it, it's really the expression of dissaproval more than the smacks themselves that work.

Also, with areas to aim for, knowing the sub is important. I bruise really easily, so if he wants to avoid bruising he has to stick to the cushy part of my ass. For others it takes a good wallop to produce a bruise.
