Last Snow

She sits in a field all cover in snow,
Waiting for plants to one day to grow.
But this is the first snowfall of the year,
She looks up as a snowflake falls as a tear.
The first of many that her cheek will feel,
as she will waits for a love that is so real.
The snow dances as it is blown by the wind,
as it is twisted and turned and spinned.
The moon peeks through the clouds above,
only to see her last twinkle of love.
The sky darkens now without a word,
so quiet only her prayer is heard.
Oh Lord forgive me for what i do,
She cries allowed to pay her due.
But i fear the cold i can not bare,
I did try my hardest Lord i swear.
I am sure now Lord i will not last,
Soon i will just be part of the past.
She sees a light now across the feild,
Her love walks towards her with a shield.
But all to soon he fades and disappears,
Then once again she is filled with her fears.
She is now blue and to the snow is numb,
Still waiting patiently for him to come.
Again she starts to pray to father her above.
Only to see fly by her a beautiful white dove.
She sees a light across the field far away,
This time her parents and she hears them say.
Come with us our child we must go,
We can not leave you here in the snow.
She takes their hands as they go towards the light,
Feeling the warmth from their hands and hugs so tight.
The next morning they find her laying in the snow,
They knew she was sad but didn't think she would go.
