In the stillness of silence
The vacuum of space
There are lights that guide us
From place to place

In the hush of a whisper
A quiet song
Gentle words will find us
When the world has gone

Fear not the dark
Though vast and silent
For souls can listen
And taste the dawn

This so reminds me of the first verse from "Hotel California":

On a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of colitas, rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance, I saw a shimmering light
My head grew heavy and my sight grew dim
I had to stop for the night
There she stood in the doorway;
I heard the mission bell
And I was thinking to myself,
’this could be heaven or this could be hell’
Then she lit up a candle and she showed me the way
There were voices down the corridor,
I thought I heard them say...

Certainly the imagery that I had going through my head when I wrote "The Whisperer" is captured in both "Hush" and that first verse. The emotions they evoke in me are both terrifying and alluring perhaps devilishly haunting in the nicest possible way.

As ever thrall your words keep me in your thrall and I am awed by your talent. Please don't ever stop whispering to the masses that I'm sure like me wait eagerly for your next poem.

Very respectfully
G

ID's signature on all his posts contained V/R standing for very respectfully, he is a man I respect greatly and I hope he will forgive my small plagarism of his signature albeit not abbreviated.
