View Full Version : Where to shop?

I hope I put this in the right forum :)

Here's the deal: since we've begun to play more regularily again (yay to that!), we've decided (well, HE decided) that we want to stock up on toys a little. The problem here is -- we live in Austria, which has virtually no BDSM scene, the next BDSM store would be in Vienna which is a few hundred kilometers from here, which is an insane trip for shopping...so what do clever people do? Order online, yup.

Now, this turns out to be harder than expected, as well. One of the things we want is a perfectly normal, classic ballgag (I broke the last one we got from a vanilla adult store...is it just me or do they really only sell crap?). I've been trying to find a shop with reasonable prices and reasonable ballgags for a while now, and was only mildly successful.

So, here's the question (yup, long-winded way of getting to the point): does anybody know a good online store where we could get some toys? We cannot order from the USA (due to the tax-border thing...it's not the kind of parcel you want to receive with a detailed description of what it contains), but anywhere within the EU would be fine. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! :)

Good question but a hard one to answer here since even in PM it is against the rules to promote any non-sponsor of this site.

I will though give you a shop I admire in England seems to have great quality stuff and it is about as hardcore in its inventory as any.

www ** honour ** co ** uk replace the blanks and stars with single dots and have fun

Thanks so much Sir_Russell, I'll definitely go check out the mystery store :) I wasn't aware of this particular rule, so if there is a problem with this thread...dear mods, please delete it!

In the USA we have both hardware stores and 'ranch and home' stores. The latter is a bit better because the ranch aspect includes equestrian supplies and livestock supplies.

Both can provide excellent raw materials for ropes and chains and clasps and hasps, rings, clips, etc. Hardware and lumber stores if you want wood to build pillories or stocks or crosses. Ranch and home stores add whips and crops, harness leathers, syringes , needles, cages and the like.

For a gag, I just saw on YouTube excellent and easy to follow instructions for making a monkeyfist ballgag. Just search for monkeyfist. (If that doesn't work, search for prosperity knot and look for the monkeyfist in the list of "additional" videos. TKB (Two Knotty Boys) have posted an excellent set of videos.

Polaris, when I read your post and realised you were in Europe, I immediately thought of those liberal Dutch neighbors of yours. Have you check out online stores in The Netherlands?

Had to look up what "monkey fist" was... very interesting looking knot!

Thanks for the tip, Ozme...I would have never thought that youtube could be such a goldmine! I see a certain dom spend hours watching TKB movies...seriously, he's going to love that stuff. More ideas for showing off his ropes ;) And trips to the hardware store *insert fond memories here* Gotta love them! We don't have ranch or home stores, though -- even though we have a lot of farmers, weird. Kink unfriendly country, this is! *grumbles*

And Alex -- sheesh, brilliant idea, thanks! I can't believe this didn't occur to me on my own! :)
