Darkened Streets

Weeping softly as I walk
Down the path of my demise
This tortured soul is bare
No more reason for my disguise

The skies pour down upon me
Soaking me to the bone
Tired, wet and defeated
I tread my path alone

The aching hole inside my heart
Bleeds out as it beats
My own destruction surrounds me
As I walk the darkened streets
