BDSM Magazines?

This may sound like a long shot, but I'm going to ask it anyway. Does anyone know of some good BDSM magazines? I'm not asking for porn ones or fetish magazines or pro Domme directories. What I would like is a magazine that features information like what we find here on this forum. What I want is a magazine that features info like furnishing a dungeon or proper protocal for a visit to a BDSM club or the correct way to do shibari or how to make your own sex toys. I guess what I want is a BDSM version of "Good Housekeeping." Does anyone know if such a magazine exists? I know there are plenty of books out on BDSM, but what about magazines?

I think it's a bit like bootleg records used to be: they exist, but are very rarely sold openly. There are some s&m associations that issue newsletters and small mags for their members, and those do contain some fact information like here. But if one is thinking of a kind of BDSM Quarterly Mag sold in legit paper stores - no, I've never seen anything like that. The s&m paper magazines I've come across have been about hot stories and photo shoots. The information is more to be found on the web (and tangentially in gay and dyke mags).

Yeah, I think the only way to find that stuff is online - either here or in an ezine. Not aware of any print mags out there apart from the fetish porn ones. However, having said that, I do know that at least some of the BDSM porn mags do have useful articles in between all the photos of leatherclad goddesses. As the old saying goes, I only buy it for the articles :) [actually, I've not bought a porn magazine, BDSM or otherwise, since I was about 18 mainly because there is so much better stuff on the internet for free - both information and photos :)]

In the UK, Forum magazine is an unusual one in that it is mostly text and very few pictures (usually just a cover photo and one or two B&Ws inside). The text is mostly readers letters about thier own BDSM experiences (some interesting, some less so) but there are also erotic stories and articles as well.

However, I am not aware of a print magazine that is wholly articles on advice and practical ideas as you want.
