No, this is not a BDSM family that's been noticed by the police. If the two witnesses/zero-wage workers told the truth, they were treated pretty much as slaves. Not that it's unique in any sense, just rare for this kind of live-in serf work to go to court. Their matron was entenced to eleven years in jail earlier this week, her husband will be getting his verdict today, friday..

Instead, the women testified, they were beaten with brooms, scalded with hot water and forced to eat hot chili peppers as well as forced to carry out household duties. Both were forced to sleep on mats and had to steal food to get enough to eat, prosecutors said."
