Do you ever out yourself at the worst moments??........lol

OK…So my public life demands me to be pretty straight laced. You know… must blend in with the crowd kind of thing…

There are moments though that just happen, and before you know it, your cover is blown to hell and back!....lol

There have been times when I have answered “Yes, Sir”….a natural response for me, but totally out of line with my public persona……..but its not too…..off color.

And then there are the times when someone really looks at my key ring……and they want to know what funny key is for………hhhmm……handcuffs…lol

Well…….There is a house being built next door to where I was attending dinner. The frame work is up and in the basement portion they poured a concrete room.

Conversation naturally turned to this obscure room and speculation was going on about what that room might be….some said bomb shelter, some said safe room…..personally i think it’s a wine room…

But

As a passing joke the idea was floated that it was a dungeon…….*weg*…..It was out of my mouth before I knew what happened.

“Well, no. I don’t believe it is a dungeon…there isn’t enough room to swing a whip”…..

So do you out yourselves??

Not sure if I out myself - but it always amazes me how naturally so many conversations come back to talk of BDSM activities!

For instance, we have a staff photo taken each year and after we have our serious photo, we have a fun photo. Props are handed out and for the last few years these have included rope and a play whip! There is always a bit of a giggle from other staff members about who wants to hold the whip! I just try to keep a smile off my face and think it is good we are facing the camera and not each other! LOL

Its easy to make slips like this in non scene groups... I do it all the time but in my 'public life' it is less of a problem as most of my friends are fairly liberal and come from a rock/goth background where the fetish scene is heavily represented anyway.

The main way I risk outing myself is in conversations about unsual sex practises. At one such conversation, one of the more conservative members of the group was mentioning something (not BDSM but linked with homosexual/transexual stuff) which he claimed was shocking. Most of the people there were indeed shocked. I shrugged and said, 'thats not so shocking' before realising that from their perspective it was very shocking :).

Interesting. I do Freudian slips quite often, but never about sex. It's only regarding conflicts I have with people.

You carry a handcuff key, thrall? I thought you liked to stay in restraints? lol

As a southern girl, I can get away with adding Sir or Ma'am without raising eyebrows. It is those other things that are give aways--knowing the fastest way to get rid of unsightly bruises (arnica gel), the many other uses for carabiners (who needs a rock wall?), and the difference between a single tail and a cat-o-nine (Fuck! vs OMG!).

Um... a friend of mine found the movie someone was talking about on here - Secretary -... they thought it was porn, and in my defense that it was NOT porn, but a regular movie... I said it's just some people's lifestyle! and got strange looks.

As it happens, just today waiting at the counter I got in a conversaton wiht a girl and boy while waiting. Her being the cute girl with the deep dark eyes, the long brown hair and slender frame...
They got in a little argument about her pet, a rat, which he didn't like. She told him if he ever "strung up that rat again, she would strung him up"
The boy gave that "just who are bringing along to make that happen" answer, looking defiant when I noticed her smile, her hand carressing his back and him melting...and before I knew it I blurted " I think a rope is the only thing she needs to bring along" OOPS!! Well, the three of us shared different shades of crimson....but they couldn't stop fondling each other and giggling on the way to their car!!
