Enough

[Friday]

Broken eyes bleed
with the weight of
a thousand bitten tongues

and I’m suffocating
under your hypocrisy –
exhausted by double standards
weary of dances with no end.

Exposed skin screams
unsure of sensation –
safe behind the vacancy

yet you claw at open wounds
with subtle smiles and
misrepresented innuendo.



The phoenix has collapsed;
tired of flames.

Hmm...interesting. I'd possibly dump or at least re-work the second bit, it seems a bit cliche. but other than that, really good.
