Yes there is plenty more Vintage where these came from.BTW I took a look at your McFlynn forum and I'd say you have had quite a bit of success in finding Vintage images so far.Great work,r3blind!

Of course even in the bygone days it was a very competitive business. The models had to really work to keep a leg or two up on this competition.

Wonderful...i particularly love the one in the 2nd to last set #4 that is from the 20s. To me, the vintage pics from the 50s and older are the truly appealing ones. For some reason they lost some of the Art in the seventies! ha. Thanks so much for sharing these Fantazmaster.

Good point on this 50's and older having the most appeal vs the post 50's images.I suppose it is the combination of the type cameras and film these pics were taken with that lends an element of appeal to these earlier images.Another aspect of appeal I hear from fellow Vintage fans are the hairstyles one sees in these earlier pictures.Bettie Page and her bangs being one such example of this appeal.Alas even BP resorted to the Beehive hairdo
at one point in her career

Back from a rather exhausting road trip and no replies from my hairstyle commentary. My,My I simply must remember it's the pictures that garner the most interest.......!But sadly, when I try to post pictures I get a Database Error.

The wonderful b&w photography forced the photographers to worry more about photo composition and artistic merit.

The models of the 50's and early 60's were much more conscious of the 'performance' part of their art, and not just posers (and poseurs, as the case may have been).

Thanks for the posts... and for the happy reminders of days gone by.

Ah ,back again thanks to the image upload problem problem being repaired.A Big Thanks to all you hard working administrators for resolving this technical problem.

Here is some more Bettie Page pics for all the Vintage Fans out there.I have had more than a few Bettie fans tell me that one of the things they found the liked about Bettie was her ability to handle quite a range of themes and do them all rather well.
