Bittersweet

[Friday]

shallow hands
hold sour serendipity
in crucified palms

cancerous grins sink
into the flat-lined life
while she waits,

praying on moments
of yesterday

(clawing at false truths
she flinches at fabrication
and knowing names
call her liar)



the dawn disintegrated
and she drowned.
