I am new to this site and pretty new to the world of BDSM. A girl I was dating introduced me to the concept and we played around a little then we split. I'm single now and very curious. I'm not sure where i fit or if I fit in this community and am looking for Guidance. I have been poking around links and read the glossary. Some of the stuff I found is a little extreme for me other things I feel I could work up to but it would take a long time and an experience mentor. I'm hoping to educate myself and figure out if this is for me. Any help is greatly appreciate. Thanx :)

there is a ton of useful information in the various threads of the forums and the great people here are allways willing to answer specific posts and or questions
i am very glad to help in any way i can as i am sure many others here are too
is there a certian area of bdsm that you would like to start with?
a more specific question placed within the apporpriate section of the forums will surely net you some valuble information

Good luck on your search. You'll find we're a friendly bunch and not everything has to be extreme. Post your questions or PM them to members who look like they know what they're talking about. By posting things publicly, you are more likely to get more responses that you can choose the best answer for you.

Welcome to the forums! One of the great things about the lifestyle is there are so many facets to it. Yes, some of it does seem a bit extreme and many parts of it may never appeal to you. But once you get your feet on the ground, you will likely find your opinions change on some things. I think overall it is a very enlightened world view and I'm glad you are exploring. i am new to the site and the lifestyle..but enjoying my new experiences..I am a switch and i enjoy dominant and submissive behavior..although my submissive is stronger now..my master does not want me to have a sub and i understand the reasoning but want to know how to control the dominant urges i still have..please help and Thank you..
