View Full Version : Crazy for...TEA!

Don't get me wrong, I love the smell of coffee and my Irish Cream cappuccino, but I have an obsession with tea. Am I the only one? I used to think I was, lol, but I have recently been amazed just how many tea addicted "sufferers" there are, LOL...so since I decided to make myself at home here I thought I could share this thread here with you too...tea lovers anonymous.
Are you a tea or coffee person?
What kind of tea do you like?
I love almost any. I generally don't like milk in mine and I cant stand any, especially white, sugar in it. White sugar alters the taste (and texture) of tea.
My guilty pleasure is Blueberry tea. There is something utterly erotic and decadent about it. And the smell is absolutely divine.
But my old faithful is Green tea. I prefer it plain, rarely, I will put honey in it. It is, I admit, a bit of an acquired taste, but well worth it.
The best cup of tea I ever had...(and this will sound weird) was in my local Kérastase Hair Spa. It was Green Tea, no sugar, and it tasted like pure heaven...even those who hate tea and especially Green tea would have loved it. I think they have put a bit of an orange in and it had a mild yet strong flavor (if that makes any sense).
Now wont this be embarrassing if I am the only tea lover here, lol,.

I like a mix of cranberry-black (http://www.teavana.com/The-Teas/Flavored-Scented-Black-Teas/Sweet-Cranberry-Flavored-Black-Tea.axd) and cherry-green (http://www.teavana.com/The-Teas/Flavored-Scented-Green-Teas/Japanese-Wild-Cherry-Flavored-Green-Tea.axd).

Chai with honey and heavy cream.
Pomegranate green.
Black Breakfast tea.
White Pear.
Blueberry (again with heavy cream).
Roibus with vanilla.
Hawaiian pineapple with a slice of lemon or orange.
Now, moving on from what's in my office to what I drink at home...lol
(Kidding, I'll save you all the trouble of reading the remainder of the list.) Suffice it to say, however, I also enjoy a good cup of tea. Now, the rest of you can quit posting so damyanti and I can go on about the business of debating what our tastes in tea say about our political leanings and our respective nationalities. Watch out for flying cups. *hehehe*

Lol, I was embarrassed to say the collection I keep at home - good to know I am not only one.
As for what it says about my nationality...abso-lu-te-ly nothing, lol. Its strictly a coffee drinking country - the only time people drink tea here is when they are sick, lol. What can I say...I am all kinky.
I am not much for nationality, I never understood this incessant need human beings have to kill each other just to prove their point. Why cant we all live, to the best of our abilities, in accordance with our conscience and have tea together? I love pineapple juice so "Hawaiian pineapple with a slice of lemon or orange" sounds very good. :)

Mint
Jasmine Pearls
Mate Vana

It's like a mini Teavana affiliate in there, though she's currently drinking more Starbucks than tea.

Earl Grey
English Breakfast
Chai (also with honey and heavy cream)
and Thai Iced Tea. It's verra orange and verra full of unique flavors.
But I also love coffee. I've been a consumer since I was 4 years old and had my tonsils out. They gave me cafe au lait before it was american yuppie coffee, and coffee icecream to soothe the post-op pain.
Now I prefer it cold or iced, sweet, and with a generous helping of cream.

I love my tea--hot or iced.
My favorite little indulgence is to pull out my glass teapot and steep some chrysanthemum flowers in hot water. Watching the flower unfurl and float and to sip the flower later. Very, very nice way to spend a cold afternoon.

The contents of your Starbuck's collection are safe ... this is the tea thread. When there's a coffee thread, I'll give out those secrets.

Euryleia - what a great idea, sadly I am not very good with plants.
SnickerKitten and Ragoczy...you two are just too cute, :d. I wasn't planning of starting the coffee thread, but now I am almost tempted, ;).
