Despite how I may come across sometimes, I really don't have a shred of Domme in me, but if I come across Mr. Blahnik...I think I will find a hidden sadistic streak deep inside.

Why do we do that to ourselves?

This year, a trend has emerged for absurdly high high heels,...I am ashamed to say I own a pair myself. My feet and legs look great in them, and I appear taller (:)) and all would be fine...except distances longer than 10 meters are impossible to master. The truth is, if almost all men didn't like heels so much, I would be perfectly happy to never wear a pair again. (Have you ever seen anything cuter than a pair of Dior flats? :))

If I were in charge, the New Rule no.1 would be that men had to wear heels one day a year, just to get the appreciation for that, :blurp_ani.

So, as if all that madness wasn't enough, Victoria look-at-me Beckham the other day, stepped out in a pair of boots with no heels. 21080 It so stupid, it just leaves me speechless...what do you think, would you wear these?

Men in heels one day a year? How high a heel? My motorcycle boots have heels. ;)

And enough to relieve what would otherwise be chronic back pain. They tilt my pelvis in a way to relieve lumbar compression... and make my ass look great too!

hmmm "beware of evil men" eh! or maybe, how about, as a thought perhaps, be strong and stand firm for what you believe in and refuse to be stereotyped and told what to wear !!

LOL now i am of course only playing devils advocate here, and any opinions expressed in no way should be construed as reflective or an accurate portrayal of craven's own true feelings.

I just thought that such a sweeping statement required a moderating and or alternative viewpoint.

I am not sure if is us guys who dictate what you women buy or feel the need to wear anyway, i would say that much of this is derived from peer to peer pressure.

Over to you my friendly firebrand

Absurdly high heels, yes, thats all women.

But while all other attributes may be down to individual tastes - aside literally an exception or two, and yes some of you are nice enough not to care either way (most of the time) - fact of the matter is, most men prefer women to wear shoes with high heels. Some generalizations stand true!

A very good sample discussion, there are a lot more (I read at least dozen), not that I needed to, I just ask any guy I know. Even you, lol, I bet. :)

And here...pick one of these 21081 for your first "men in heels annual day", :d. I would pay to see that, and your girlfriend can thank me the next day, ;).

i have quite a few pair of heeled boots and shoes which i love but i cant walk for very long in them they cripple me and i walk like a new-born foal lol, especially in the 6 inchers!
IH hates flats or even low heels and hates it if i moan my feet are killing, and in town points out all the office women who wear heels and says he cant see what the problem is, but i point straight back and tell him to watch all the movies and tv ads where at the end of the day the working women come home throw off their shoes/boots and stick their feet in water and let out huge sighs lol
id love to see HIM spend a day or two in a pair of 6 inch thigh highs

Do us guys 'dictate' what women should wear?? I certainly don't!

For as long as I can remember, I've liked to see women in stiletto heels, especially those lovely sharp, spikey heels, but there is no way that I would expect them to wear shoes like that if they didn't want to.

Doesn't really matter to me if they wear thigh-highs with 6-inch heels, DMs or a pair of trainers - it's the person that matters most.

I have certainly been in D/s relationships where the Dominate(s) dictate what is worn and when... including heels, hose/garters, etc. So while it may not be all the time in a straight forward fashion it is required at times straight forwardly and at other times the subtle feeling that is would please someone.... And you know, us submissives are normally suckers for meeting that "subtle feeling" with those around us....

Considering the number of shoe designers that are men...lol.

I wasn't even talking about dom ordering sub to wear heels situation...but rather a social convention and mating game rules. Girls are taught to wear heels, (not unlike they are taught to wear skirts).

And while some (most?) guys don't care most of the time, they do prefer women to wear heels and we aim to please, lol. And there is also a large number of guys who bluntly say that they cant stand to see women in flats or tennis shoes, so that leaves...heels.

To answer the original question: nope, they were not made for walking. They were made to look sexy. And make the person wearing them look sexy.
Trecking shoes, running shoes, sneakers, those are made for walking. Unfortunately they are completely unsexy too ;)

Does that dictate what you should wear? Don't you have a choice whether or not you buy them?

As for if the boots were made for walking, I don't know cos I can't see the pic :)

so whats the problem with men wearing high heels - i do it whenever I get the spare time. My avatar shows me wearing my 6" courts, and none of my heels are less than 4".
I can comfortably spend up to 8 hours in my heels - can't do any longer as the wife gets home after that

I got boots with heels too. About 2" high and I have worn 4" stilettos for a night out (yeah full drag;) and pink to boot lol) cause it was fun but yeah my feet hurt like hell late that night, but if wearing heels for a day or so a year just to get my girl to wear them way more often than she does now I sure would and especially so if men in general would also do it.

as for her heelless boots well they sure arent pretty and as for made for walking well I sure dont know. She sure walked better than the models on Paris fashionweek that all fell cause of poorly constructed heels ;)

Now let me tell you a little secret about me, i love to wear high heels.

It doenst matter if im walking in NYC all day or in the office. Ill wear them, day, night, rain, shine, hailstorm, tornado, doesnt matter. I have very nice strong toned (thanks to pointe lessons) legs, nice tattoos to compliment my legs also. I like to show off my legs so when i can, believe me i do. Plus im kinda on the short (5'3) side, so its nice to be a bit taller at times.

I like to wear small heeled to big heelsand or Mary Janes. Doesnt matter, ill wear them. I have gotten so used to the pain that is inflicts on my feet that i dont notice it anymore. Plus id take the pain anyway bc my legs look that damn good in heels.

I didnt start wearing heels until about 2 years ago, when i bought my frist pair of Steve Madden (180.00$) leopard print shoes to accent a slinky black dress i was going to wear one night. After that i was in love with heels.

I agree men should wear heels, at least one day in there life, just to see what pain us women go through to look good for them. ;)

before you start to wear them i should let you borrow my pointe shoes so you can get your feet used to it, it doesnt hurt as bad if your feet already know the torture that they are going to be in. I got used to my pointe shoes in about a week. but i wore then morning, noon, night, sleeping.. etc.
and i wouldnt walk in them with them flat i would walk upright in them, i wasnt going to slack off on getting my feet used to being like that. :D Just trying to help

Unless they come in a size fourteen, you'll have to be satisfied with the motorcycle boots...

black,

heavy,

strapped with stirrup rings...

They can always be custom made.

So its official...we just have to set the date for Librarys first annual "doms in heels (and no motorcycle boots dont count, :blurp_ani) solidarity day".

Okay... let me rephrase that.... Even if they come in size 14, you'll have to make do with the jackboot look. How do you feel about interrogations. :blurp_ani

Am I the only one that thinks posh's hubby looks like he's wearing lifts in his wingtips? Maybe he's like to participate in "Doms in Heels Day" as well. ;)

As for my thoughts on heels in general? I like 'em, I find 'em supremely comfy, they look great even with jeans, and frankly I get off on towering over most people. I'm 6' and my sister is 6'2" - when we get together we throw on the six inch spikes and hit the town. Not only do we look cute (I think so, anyway), but damned if you can't tell a lot about the confidence level of a man that feels comfy approaching a woman who's looking down on him. Just sayin'.

My standby footwear, oddly enough, is just exactly what the Oz's wears (save for the fact that he wears a 14 and I'm a mens size seven). Black "Dingos" (I have 'em in brown and olive as well...lol) with the strap and ring. Let me tell ya', there was something a little surreal about having a guest Dom stop by your place and realizing that your shoes matched...lol

This is, of course, evidence in favour of Adam's theory of male societal dominance. As discussed in his erudite thesis 'The Dilbert Future', it is clear that men do not rule the world. True, some men happen to be in positions of power where they can move millions around or decide to declare war on people but that is not all men and these men never consult with the 'ordinary men' like us so we do not share this power. However, women control every other aspect of life - family, home, workplaces and so on - in many subtle ways. About the only thing they do not control is fashion because if men controlled fashion then:

- heels would be high
- skirts would be short
- necklines would be low

And since all of these things seem to be the case we can conclude that men do indeed control fashion as women would never agree to any of it if they controlled it. :)

Clearly this proposal of 'just one day a year' is an evil attempt by women to grab the last little piece of power they currently do not have and therefore control the world. One day a year will soon become 2 then 3 and then a week, month and finally all the time with the addition of skirts and make up... its an inevitable slippery slope!

I would like to also add that I personally have voluntarily worn enough stilleto heels to compensate for at least one other male should this law about compulsory wearing of heels be passed.I would also like to add that I find them incredibly comfortable and easy to walk in (though stairs are a problem with the really high heels...) :)

Frankly, I find the "poshboots" simply hideous, not to mention they look extremely uncomfortable. We aren't suppose to just walk on the balls of our feet.

As for those high, high heels; sexy, yes. They make your legs appear shapely and give a short woman the stature she craves. (or in amber's case that amazonian feeling hehe).

There's something worse than sore feet, though and that's the irreversible damage to the spine, that wearing stilettos causes over the years. So have fun wearing 'em now, but be prepared to pay for it physically eventually.
