Hi
I'm a newbie here searching for her identity
I have only had one bondage experience and that went horribly and painfully wrong
I believe I would like to dominate another woman
I also believe I would like to be a submissive to a man or maybe a woman
As you can tell I am totally confused
I hope talking to all of you will help me decide what I want

hi and welcome MistressPain, im sorry you're feeling so confused, im not a switch so i cant offer any suggestions there sorry.
but what i can say is dont let the bad experience you had with bondage put you off, just look at what went wrong put it down to experience and learn from it.
enjoy the library, im sure there's a lot of people here that can help you :)

nah then we would be confused on if your the same person or someone else. as to the confusion, i believe it happens when people go through phases, occasionaly i get a submissive urge but those usually don't last long as i'm generally a controlling person. both domming and subbing have thier particular pro's and con's, best way is to learn as much as you can, and experience the rest, only then will you truly know how you feel with any certainty.

Hi and welcome. Don't feel bad about being confused, most of us have felt the same at some time. Take your time and let yourself explore what this lifestyle has to offer, and ask questions - that is the best way to get the answers you might need.

Welcome to the forums.

You might not be confused, you might just be a switch.

:wel and  here's to figuring out where you fit.

So was that early bondage experience on the giving or receiving side?

Hello and Welcome to the Forums, don't worry about the confusion, I am not a switch, but most days I am still confused about my own submissive tendencies.

Confusion is part of life. If we all knew what was happening and when we would get bored :)

My advice is to explore and play as much as you can. Read, interact, have fun and do what you enjoy. Try everything once and maybe twice but don't feel pressured to do something that you do not like just because someone tells you it is 'part of the scene'. Bondage is a part of BDSM but it is not all of BDSM nor is it essential to do it to be a member of the scene. Discuss likes, dislikes and limits with anyone you play with and you will be fine.

And don't be afraid to ask questions. We will answer them and you will not be seen any the less for asking them.

BTW, the best place to ask a question is one of the BDSM boards not the introduction board. There are some here who will tend to skip some or all of the intro threads but will read all the BDSM threads. Therefore these are the best place to get your question viewed and replied to.
