Backstory: I placed an ad seeking a dom for bondage, domination, spanking/whipping, and a good mindfuck. I deleted most of the stupid or uninteresting replies without responding, but couldn't resist responding to this one... and it turned out to be worth it, as this fellow proved to be... special. The first email below was the very first I received from this individual.

Geography: Westlake Mall is located in downtown Seattle, has an open-air plaza across the street, and is a popular gathering place. Capitol Hill is a nearby neighborhood that used to be very edgy but has been gentrifying lately. Tacoma is a city about half an hour's drive from Seattle; it's noteworthy primarily for its nearby paper mills that permeate the air with the delightful scent of industrial chemicals.

Hello slave...

I want you to meet me this Wednesday at downtown Seattle at 5:00pm right outside of the West lake mall by the umbrellas...You should wear a red scarf around your neck so I know is you...We are going to my art studio close by at Capitol Hill to evaluate your assets and your behaviour...You'll be blind folded the first time in my studio.
You need to send me an email back today before 10:00pm...If your email arrives after 10:00pm I will teach you some discipline so you'll learn to be more obedient next time.
Remember...You have a new master now...I'll take your decisions now.

PS: You need to send me a few more nude pics of yourself so I can be more familiar with my new possession...Your body.

fell <xxx@gmail.com>
Correction: I do not have a new master. I am seeking a new master. It's a subtle difference, I know.

[A little too subtle, as you'll see.]

edgar poe <xxx@yahoo.com>
You are up for some punishment now...You never showed up.

We need to arrange your punuishment for disregarding our meeting.

Your master....

fell <xxx@gmail.com>
I'm sure there are women out there who are into the scenario you're attempting to create.

Unfortunately, I am not one of them.

I'm sorry, and I wish you luck in finding the woman you seek.

edgar poe <xxx@yahoo.com>
That's cool...You ask for some rough deal and now you're chicken out...I knew all along that you were flake and sissy...

fell <xxx@gmail.com>
Then why did you go to Westlake?

edgar poe <xxx@yahoo.com>
That is where I'm way ahead of you...I never went there I was way to busy at Tacoma till about 6:30pm...I knew you were a flake so I guess it right...You're just a girl with a lame fantasies way to scare to make it happen...

fell <xxx@gmail.com>
So let's see if I have this right.... you send me an email claiming I never showed up, and then when I don't respond with "Gosh, I was there for two whole hours waiting for you to show up and dazzle me with your ferocious good looks and imposing intellect but you never did, boo hoo, don't you like me, was my scarf the wrong shade of red?" you lob a few weak insults at me and then admit you didn't show up either.

You think I'm lame, I think you're lame.... hmmmmmm. One of us spent the afternoon in Tacoma. The other spent the afternoon in a delightful submissive daze after playing with a very talented man who had taken the time to find out her interests and limits, explain his own, and establish mutual chemistry and desire.

Boo hoo.

-----

No response from him after that. "That's where I'm way ahead of you"? Seriously??? Good lord. And I did spend that afternoon in the manner described - I wrote about it under "First 'date'". Note that I'm not mocking him for his writing skills - it seems fairly apparent that English isn't his first language, and there's nothing wrong with that - but rather for his single-minded inanity. Of course for all I know he loves the uppity ladies and is still wanking off to my last email. *shrug*

Oh my, too funny. In a sad sort of way. ;)

~note to self: never, ever, ever post a personal ad~

I don't know...I found my first dom through craigslist, and that worked out fine while it worked. You do get a lot of crap and a lot of timewasters, but it can all work beautifully.

I've gotten apartments, furniture, bicycles, jobs, dates, and currently a potential long-term playpartner on CL. I've gotten rid of furniture, yarn, fabric scraps, and more on CL. Of all the responses I got to my seeking-dom ad, three of them were actually quite awesome, and of those three I met two and played with one. The trick when placing ads is to have (a) a lack of desperation, and (b) a sense of humor. ;)

I sold a lazyboy on craigs list. I absoutly needed to get rid of it because my new set was was ready to pick up. I sold it a few hours after the post and it was gone the next day.... good site, but I didnt know there were personals.

I am intrigued. The stupid ones got deleted but this one you found so interesting you couldn't resist responding. I am wondering what was so irresistable about it.

Baiting him and knowing he would bite I'm guessing.

Some like to 'play' like that.

Not my style at all, and a huge reason I wouldn't post an add.

One of the main problems with the internet is people lose a very important piece of themselves, their inhibitions.
They know they’re ultimately safe, so they make an ass of themselves more often than not.

Sometimes this isn’t so bad.

Thanks for the story.

Oh wow...man that is fucking hilarious. But seriously I think CL should be used for buying and selling stuff...not personals. But then again that's just me.

LOL... well, I can't disagree with you there. We have place personals there before and gotten nothing but scammers and liars and ultimately, a fair amount of spam. On the other hand, buying sex off craigslist is the name of the game around here. Mmmm, yummy call girls!
