Faceless

Standing proud, alone
That one tree amongst many
The seasons, like time
They all wash over him

Seeing all, missed by many
Faceless, he is passed by
Hidden in plain view
Forlorn, remaining mute

Bending with the breeze
I sense his sadness
That lonely single tree
I taste his sorrow

For that tree is like me

In the crowd, quietly observing is not always a bad place to be. Integrity and discretion are valuable qualities. We all need such a shelter at times.

A very meaningful write indeed.

faceless but not formless, yes, as the japanese say the longest nails get hammered the hardest, being faceless is at times, most appealing, *smiles* thank you X

Aw, lovely prose, Craven. Thanks for sharing.

Any yes, Skyybird - I personally think it's a good quality to be the "nodder" in conversations sometimes. You never suffer from foot in mouth disease. :-)

LOL....you know the old "if I had a pound for every time I've opened my mouth to change feet" saying?

I'd have enough for a small villa somewhere exotic!
