Well, I no longer live there. That was when I was living in Houston Texas but I am now back up in Canada... in a small town where there is nothing like that for at least 300 miles. It all has to do with immigration. I unkowingly overstayed my welcome and when I tried to return to the states after visiting my family here in Canada where I was born and raised, they told me "Sorry, can't come back for 10 years".

All the really amtters is that my master and I were physically apart for almost a year but he moved up to Canada to be with me. *shrugs* Besides, I don't need all those parties. Never was one for "parties"

Granted it is hard to live the lifestyle in such a small community where everyone likes to know everyone else's business, but I consider myself luck for the little bit that we do have.

what? I never heard of this before. That doesn't make sense. If you were born in Canada, and you live in US, and you want to come back, all you need is to get married with your master, get married in Canada and moved back to US. Once you have a marriage certificate, that's all it takes.

The days of marrying someone to immigrate died in the 70s in the USA. Now, you CAN marry someone, but they still have to apply for immigrant status and you have to sponsor them as their spouse. We're basically doing the same thing here in Canada right now. I just have to take a short trip out of the country to renew my status.

The thing is, though, she was banned from the States for staying longer than she was allowed on a visitor's visa. I didn't know that they would ban someone for that, but I guess they would. I am definitely hoping Canada is less strict about these sorts of policies, as I would like to see my wife again before my child enters grade school.

when you take that short trip, find a state that a senator or congressman can help you. Just tell them exactly what happened. Call them first before you fly back to book an appointment. It doesn't has to be the state you were first living in.

If they can approved a dead terrorist immigration student VISA, then surely there is some flexibility on something like this.

Just tell them you are now married & having babies, and tell them you would both moved back to USA.

Stay in a nosy small town out of nowhere is not ideal. How did you two get stuck in a small town anyway? Why not stay at Vancouver or Toronto in the first place? I know that the INS can be a pretty grumpy bunch of people.

My brother in law is from Spain. When they were married He was here on a work visa, and because they got married according to the traditions of the Catholic church the timing of the wedding was a few weeks shy of the visa running out.

The INS was freaky, acting like the marriage was some sort of scam, but thankfully the Church heirarchy was more than willing to speak on their behalf.

I find it unsettling though that your wife has had the full extent of the law placed on her when so many illegal immigrants are given opportunities to become "legal."

As bunnyrabbit suggested, I would definetely contact a Senator or Congressman. Let them know you are a registered voter, and are being forced to leave the USA to be a family, that will get attention.

This town is where I grew up. My entire family is here from my parents to my granparents and also my brother and his family. Plus, I would rather live here than in some smoggy, noisy, crime filled city. If you have ever seen my home town you would understand what I mean. It's beautiful here. Right in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. From my parents front yard you have to look straight up to see the tops of the mountains and, in the right conditions, the aurora borialis (spelling?) is awesome.

Neither BDSM Tourguide nor myself are "party animals". Granted, yes it would be nice to be able to have people to relate to, who are interested in the lifestyle, but we can do fine even if it is just he and myself. We are willing to make sacrifices in order to have other ties other than just ones related to BDSM. If we really want to se the scene, we can take day trips to the city 3 hours away.

However, for right now, we are where we want to be for the most part. I especially want to be here close to my family since I am going to have our first child and I can be around people I know are going to be supportive and who have had children in the last few years.

As for the states, well neither of us is too anxious to go back there, to be quite frank. We prefer Canada over the USA for reasons that you probaboy would not understand unless you have actually lived here for an extended period of time. I, myself, didn;t even realize what this place had to offer until I came back after a year.

What I am trying to say is thatjust because it is a small town, don't knock it. We are not completely driven by the lifestyle. There are other concerns that we have to look at, like our child being able to see his/her grandparents, uncles, aunts, great grandparetns and what not.

In my opinion, living in the USA is not all it is cracked up to be. I say this from having lived there for a while. Though I won't go into the specifics of it all since this is a BDSM forum, and not a "my country is better than your country" debate forum.

I will say this though. I AM CANADIAN and I am damned proud of it

Well said! I do not see the need to live where we are able to be involoved in the "scene" it is very nice to know of places capable of being driven to to participate, but home is home.

What happens between us as a couple is, well between us.

Like yourself, I live in a small town, in the smallest state in the USA, though i have enjoyed living in the city at various parts of my life, I could not trade the enjoyment of what "home" has to offer.

I try to download RM or RAR files before. How did you manage to get 137 MB of RAR, usually there are a lot of missing parts from any upload, so in the end, even with 1 part missing, it is useless. Let me know please.

I use attbroad band and there news server is very bad
very offen allot of rar files are missing.
Most posters will post over 1,2 3 and even 4 days
You have to catch it so you get a complete post of the first part.
you need to look in the field in the header that will start with 1/x
and then it will have an ending of x/what ever
Even if you do not get it all. you will get 90%.
Just check the box in winrar at the very bottom when you are extracting the file it will keep the file even if it is not complete.

Also look for the Par files with smart par you can offen recover lost rar files as long as you have the begining and the end.
it is clumsy but it works a 137mb rar file will yeald 1hr 22min of dsl quality
