So Libertarian candidate Bob Barr won't be on the ballot in Louisiana. He missed the filing deadline. 'course the LA State offices were closed the week before the filing deadline because of a hurricane, but a judge said it's okay to leave Barr off.

He also won't be on the ballot in Connecticut -- State officials miscounted his petition signatures and lost 119 pages of them, but another judge said that's okay too.

Obama and McCain will both be on the Texas ballot, despite both parties missing the filing deadline (yeah, these are groups I want running my country). A judge dismissed Barr's case which argued that the future President of the United States should maybe ought to follow the freakin' law! (Or at least be able to hire people who can read a calendar.)

The Democrat and Republican parties in this country have far too much power and influence -- something we were warned about by the founders of America, but we've let it happen anyway.
