My will is that I lay my will aside,
I choose, that I relinquish all my choice,
I speak, so I may hear only your voice,
I long to bend, submit to you my pride.
O may I give you, when into your eyes
I gaze, self less devotion, offered free
Which honours me with shameless dignity.
Let my remorseful tears become your prize.
Please take from me, with strict and loving binds
The tortuous locks that I myself impose.
With bloody thorns release the scarlet rose
And let me, in my anguish, beauty find.

Like risen Kali, cloaked in sensual fires,
Let me delight you with my black desires.

This is really nice. The rhyme scheme is not that of a Shakespearean sonnet - is it an Italian sonnet?

Not strictly either, rachel, but I felt I could take liberties. Thanks.
