Hi,
The topic of BDSM recently caught my attention. I know very little about it, but find it quite interesting. At this time I am unsure of what I am hoping to accomplish other than learning about what is out there so my starting point is pretty much what is it like and what does it involve? Any insight is most welcome.
Here's to new experiences.

uhm, firstly welcome to the library, we're quite nice folks really.
secondly my advice for you would be to look around the forums. If you still have questions after that hit the chat, i'm pretty sure people would like to share experiences, information and what not

Yes, you can do a lot fo good research here just browsing the forums... joining in on current topics and reviving older threads asking questions or for clarifications.
If you don't see a topic you are interested in... certainly start a new thread.
And though you can accomplish some of this in chat... the conversations are frenetic and tend to wander... so you may want to save chat for when you want to be entertained or want to participate in the entertainment.
