Seasons
My spring has long since faded,
Summers kiss now but a memory
Hope, like exhaled breaths fading
In autumn, its colour and time I dwell
Bejewelled, its golden hue I devour
Savouring the suns dying warmth
As my winter looms ever nearer
Creeping, its chill gnaws at my bones
The seasons as time they pass
Relentless, their journey ever onward
We are but fragments of the puzzle
Temporal, our souls upon the breeze
Our futures uncertain
Pasts soon forgotten
My spring has long since faded,
Summers kiss now but a memory
Hope, like exhaled breaths fading
In autumn, its colour and time I dwell
Bejewelled, its golden hue I devour
Savouring the suns dying warmth
As my winter looms ever nearer
Creeping, its chill gnaws at my bones
The seasons as time they pass
Relentless, their journey ever onward
We are but fragments of the puzzle
Temporal, our souls upon the breeze
Our futures uncertain
Pasts soon forgotten
