So... not sure what to say except I am new here.

I am not really a Sub, and I am not really a Dom. While I have read quite a bit of literature and understand and find some of the information stimulating and consistent with my own growth through the years, I have never wanted to be dominated by anyone, and while I have had fantasies about dominating someone I would never do it without thier consent, so I have never truely acted on those desires.

Hi Subs_Hubby.

By way of greetings to all may I quote you on that since what you express is very much my own situation. While my fantasy world can be as violent as any (potential) dom's, I have a basic respect for women and would not want to act outside a consenting relationship.

Although I've lurked here for years by registering a few days ago I'm jumping in. This site is the best I've run into and the forums are superb. Now I guess I need to find an avatar, huh? Maybe an image of putting my toe in the water ;)

Just enjoy your exploration. Don't obsess over labels, the longer one is in this lifestyle you come to realize that labels are just a crude starting point that give you a basic reference, and that beyond that they don't mean much...especially as everyone has their own definition of it all.

What she said, in spades. Define yourself, don't let others define you. Enjoy the journey.
