My very helpful and generous new mentor assigned a task to help me resolve a long standing personal performance issue (and practice submission, of course) and I messed up.
I followed the letter of the law but not the spirit of it and had to report it. NOW I get no reward. No O's until tomorrow. Since I am what I consider a super slutty little wench he certainly has my number.

What a candy-ass I am but it is already driving me nuts.
Coworker: "What's your problem today?"
Pflutter: "Well, you see, I failed a task so I don't get to cum until tomorrow. I don't really want to go to jail so get away from me before I rip your f'ing head off and shove it up your sorry *ss."

Yeah, good times.

That doesn't sound like mentoring per se. Generally speaking, mentoring is providing advice and guidance, not submission 'practice' and rewards/punishments. People offering submission/slavery practice/training/etc are really looking for no strings attached fun 98% of the time. Now, if that's what you are looking for, great! Just be clear in your own mind about what's happening so you don't get pulled into a bait & switch. Many 'mentors'/'trainers'/'protectors' use the authority the position confers as a way to get their foot in the proverbial door.

That isn't the case here, but I can see how that could be an issue on occasion. I'm working with a well respected, experienced community member. Kind of you to offer the warning, though.

I think I'd better toughen up quick but I do know he only has as much power as I give him and I have plenty of good folks to ask if I think I'm losing my way.

o.O

Well, good luck with that. Personally if I was just starting out with someone and knew they needed, shall we say, regular relief to be able to handle the stress of her life, putting her through that would be the last thing I'd do.

On the other hand, if it works for the two of you, everything else is immaterial, so...

Hindsight is 20/40 dept: I've had a rough few weeks at work for a number of reasons and might very well be ripping heads off even without this added issue. I don't think Sir knew that, but it can't be that unusual to have a few hiccups due to not knowing the backstory in new relationships of whatever depth. I was not trying to make him out to be the villain here in any way. Maybe some other day, but in a good way -

I do appreciate hearing the other input, though, really.

Quoted for truth.

Most "mentors" end up being people trying to get themselves off, just like everyone else lol
