I came across yet another one today - a story with a header cautioning me that if I was a minor, or if I'm the kind of person offended by bdsm, I should no proceed. So what do these authors think sick little bunnies like me are scanning a site like this for?

Personally, I think the site's name says it all, but if there's any further confusion, the disclaimer on the font page is crystal clear. These inessential warnings are just a waste of space.

Careful consideration of a story's codes by the authors should be more than sufficient to ensure there are no nasty little surprises for the readers.

Alex.

Many people that run other sites or post often to news groups DO take stories from sites like this, the design scripts that leech the entire story content of the site and eitehr archive it for there own site or to repost.

Also, many of the stories here were originally posted to alt.sex.stories or other news groups and either taken from there to here, or reposted by the author.

Thats the meaning of the warnings.

Yes, I understand 'the meaning of the warnings', and the reasons they might be used at other sites. What I don’t understand, however, is the reason some authors choose to leave them/use them in the headers of their stories at this site. I just think it's so ridiculously superfluous, totally unnecessary, completely irrelevant, most uncalled for… and it bugs me.
