Need review translation...please help

I have recently started posting my stories on this site, and I'm surprised by the quantity and quality of the reviews and email I've been getting. Just this morning I got another one from someone who doesn't speak English. I'll write it out exactly the same way it looked in my emailbox, and if anyone can tell me what it says, I'd be greatly obliged:

I AM FROM POLAND AND KANN NOT SO GUT ENGLISH SPEAKEN. JETZT SCHREIBE ICH DEUTSCH. DEINE ROMAN WAR EINE VAN BESTEN WIE ICH HABE GELESEN DANKE DAREK.

I got the meaning of the first sentence; the writer of this email is from Poland, and can't speak good english. So he's writing in Deutsch/German (I think.) And the last two words are 'Thank you, Darek', who I assume is the person who wrote the email. All the stuff in the middle lost me, though.
Can anyone help me out with a translation, or can you tell me of a good translation site where I can figure this out? I'd really like to know what he's trying to say. Please?

My German is pretty rusty (and I suspect his isn't so hot either), but I can figure this out easily enough. He says, as you gather, that he doesn't speak good English so he is writing you in German: then he says "Your story is the best I have read, thank you."

Thanks to everyone who offered their bilingual skills to help me figure out what he said. Whether he said it ws the best or one of the best he;d ever read, it's still a huge compliment. I can read some Spanish but i can't speak or write it worth a damn, so a story written in spanish would have to be pretty damn freakin' good for me to even think about attempting to responsd to it. So just the fact that he even bothered to write a review for something I wrote must mean I did a pretty good job on the story, 'Hell To Heaven'.
The same goes to everyone who's ever written a review, both to my stories or to anyone else's. Writing a review means the story touched the reader in some way that was impossible to ignore and they felt so strongly about what they read that they were compelled to spend some of their precious time writing that review/email and rating the story. So, to anyone who's read my stories, 'Hell To Heaven' or my newer 'Twisted Fairy Tales', my profound thanks! I really appreciate the time you took to read the story, whether you wrote me back about it or not! Just the time you took means a lot to me.

I hope it helps. :)Jae, if you use an online translation program, it would be best to send Darek the English original and the German translation.He has two chances to understand. He gets to have a good laugh at online translation. He can tell you what it got wrong and you learn more.

This is a translation by a German who worked as a translator for several years. The German original itself is not flawless, by the way; one can tell the writer's native tongue is not German:
"I am from Poland and don't speak English that well. Now I am writing in German. Your novel was one of the best I ever read. Thank you.

To jaeangel: For German-English translations or vice versa faithfully turn to us. I (Friede) was a professional translator for several years and translated a lot of books during that time. As long as the text to be translated is of reasonable length, say one or two pages, I'll gladly help. But I won't tackle epics without a fee. Not because I am greedy, but because it would significantly eat into my spare time, and I would like to get something in return for my time and efforts.

The Polish reader (Darek) says, he unfortunaltely doesn't know to write in English, so he is writing in German (see: speak German, an the whole world will understand you (Grin..)). He find YOUR story to be the best one he ever has read. Many thanks (for it) Darek
