Alpha, beta, and a Omega slave

to all Doms/Masters/Dommes, Master has given me a assignment to find out what is the difference between a Alpha slave, a Beta slave and a Omega slave and has also has asked me to find a suitable site to read up on it. I know what a Alpha slave is as i am one to my Master and that i am number one slave to Master and can tell the other slaves what to do when Master is not around to do so himself. But i am not very sure what a Beta slave or a Omega slave is, i hope that you can help me out with my assignment many thanks singletaillover

Beta,,sugests by its meaning the number 2, where as omega is of course last.

LOL - Too literal.

Alpha slave is your primary slave. That's not necessarily your first slave, but either the one most important to you OR... the one you allow to run your household/manor/harem for you.

The Beta slave is obviously your test slave... not quite ready for the public... ;)
and the Omega slave always knows what time it is. :):):)

I was taught it had everything to do with hierarchy (not who became one's submissive forst or last etc) and it was easily changed at the whim of the dominant.

That system seems to ignore the many slaves inbetween... what about delta, gamma, pi, rho... etc (I can't recall all the greek alphabet off the top of my head any more :) ). Surely before you have an omega slave you will have to have all of these and that is a lot of slaves... unless you just define them as last and insert any new slaves in ahead of them :)

The way I have usually seen it happen is that you have one 'alpha' who is in charge of all the other slaves. You may have a number of 'betas' and I suppose you could rank your slaves in this way based on how much devotion/service etc they perform (i.e. your alpha is your live in lover, your 24/7 slave whereas your betas are those who come round to serve daily and your omegas are the occasional slaves who do service at weekends only or one day a month or something). However, I have generally only seen it as an alpha and 'all the other slaves' who have no rank other than to be under the alpha who is under the Dom/me.

When I said 'first' I didn't mean in chronological order... first meaning "the most important" or "main" second meaning "secondary"

I have to say, I also have not met anyone who has their harem that structured. Would be interested if anyone who has experienced it could comment.

It also occurs to me that an alpha slave position is one place where a Switch may fit neatly into the hierarchy. They get to be a sub to the Dom/me who is above them and a Dom/me to the subs who are below them.
