Yeah, nobody believed me when I said that at my first 12-step meeting, either! :P

heh,
So, I'm Julie, or Blue, or Sun if you'd rather.
I am actually active in a 12-step community, and have over two years clean now (actually, I had over two years in July, I have over 27 months now!). I'm a strong, passionate, confident woman who doesn't take BS and treats drama as if it were the plague.

BDSM-wise, I'm a (straight) submissive switch. When I first found the lifestyle, I called myself a submissive- those were the only fantasies I'd ever had. But, as the years went on, I found myself decidedly frustrated with the so-called dominants in my life.
Suffice it to say, my Switch came out and I haven't looked back since. My personal philosophy developed from Bratty, to Bitchy.
It used to be, "If you can punish me hard enough I'll listen", but these days it's far more, "If you can't top me properly I'll SHOW you how it's done!"

I've had a variety of play partners and Masters (and Mistresses) over the years- I've only ever had a few pets (I've worn 5 different collars, and collared 2 girls- I have none, currently). I may not be an absolute beginner, but I have a LOT left to learn. I hope I always feel that way, though. C:
I've never had the fun of being with another switch, and am heartily hoping to remedy that situation and soon! :D

Anyway, I'm really here just to find friends, get advice, find new play ideas, the usual. I hope I don't overstep my welcome, but if I do, please feel free to get the whip! :)

Hi Julie.
Welcome to the Library! I think you've come to great place if your goals are friends, advice, and ideas. The forums are full of useful information, and if you don't find it there, just ask. Most of the members are very friendly and usually willing to answer questions. I hope you enjoy your time here.
