Tomb Of The Eagles
Silent echoes in the chamber,
Empty eyes see into an unknown,
And the cries of a long gone eagle,
Trembles in the visitor’s heart.

Narrow entrance, feeling of bowing,
Awe of a lost man and his writings,
Feeling of respect, as we leave,
Bowing once more, to the forgotten past.

Echoing footsteps, present and past,
Heavy story, feeling of death,
Sinister graves, corpses rot,
Light hits the windows, pictures move,
Voices sing, raises to the heavens,
All thoughts on St Magnus, Viking Saint.
