Some kids will always be curious about something they read or see that brings BDSM into their realm of knowledge and go seeking ways to find out more and understand it. May think they are mature for their age and that the rules really do not apply to them. However joining an adult website, lying about the age to get a profile and then getting attention from members who may or may not know what the real age is not a good thing. Taking advantage of a window of opportunity to prey on an underage child is NOT what this site is about.

Some members may not agree with the age requirements on the site...however that is just to bad. Those are the rules you agreed to by being a member here and we all have a responsibility to uphold those rules. If an underage person comes to your attention, you see the information on the profile page, the person tells you in PM or via yahoo or chatroom, where ever you come by the information you should report it immediately. It is not ok, to say, oh well not my problem and overlook it. This site is not a RIGHT, it is a priviledge and we should all help protect it. The rules are in effect for a reason to protect the site and the members, so that we may all perv, post, learn and make friends. Reguardless of if you agree or not, Report this when it happens. Let the admin know so that it can be taken care of and the profile shut down. Acting in a responsible and adult fashion may not always be "fun" but it is needed. Send your PM's to Torq or let a chatroom mod know about it.

I am afraid I do not follow you here. Of course this site is not for under-ages, but if they lie about their age, and you think you are talking to an adult, I do not see how this preying on an under-age. You'd never know!

I should bloody well think so, but how is that going to happen? Anyone who's here with a fake ID (and of course that's going to happen sometimes, you can't prevent it unless you impose Adultcheck, which would lose you 90% of your membership) is going to keep quiet about it, knowing this is a moderated group. So who is going to (knowingly) groom them?

If I were to stumble across someone here claiming to be a 15yo kid, I'd assume they were role-playing and tell them to go somewhere where people were into that sort of thing. But I do realise that you'd have no choice but to expel them, they'd have asked for it.

As thir said, what's brought this on?

Well, if you're underage and stupid enough to inform people on this website that you are just that.. then it's probably better they're gone anyways. A weeding out process if you will.

Yeah I checked out porn when I was underage. May or may not have checked certain bdsm themed websites as well (Not this forum)

The problem is that unless someone basically says they're underage, there is no way of knowing. And of course, if they do mention it, then the obvious step is to inform moderators to block said person. But not to sound like a pessimist, despite tools like IP blocking, there is really very little someone like this website can do to prevent underage users. If they live in my neck of the woods, they can easily get their ip changed, steal someone elses, use the university/school wifi. Unfortunately, it's up to the parents/guardians to monitor these minors.

The best we can do in this forum is be helpful to everyone and respect the local law and the rules of this forum.
