So, my Master is a bi-gendered individual... and W/we have been looking to find a good gender neutral term for Master... and the only ones W/we have been able to find just do not feel right...

hoping that someone here might be able to help ^^

While I don't have an alternative to offer, I know that while being female, I have no problem being called Master (and actually can enjoy that even more than "Mistress" at times). I don't feel "Master" being such a masculine only word.

I wish you luck to find an alternative. :)

Keeper as in the Keeper of my heart, body, etc. or Owner? both seem pretty neutral to me. Hope that helps!

Or Teacher.

But actual titles of superiority are traditionally genedered. It's hard to get around... they sound so good.

Which do you prefer, Master or Perverted Tormentor Mistress?

I would really love to know the answer, PLEASE. (<-- me asking nicely:))

Since you asked so nicely... I love "Master" but I have to admit that "Perverted Tormentor Mistress" just has that very nice ring to it, that you make sound even better. ;)

Deity? Goddess?
Is that the same as A Switch?

Owner, Keeper, Controller, Sensei are all good ones to use.

The term switch was something adopted by later more politically correct renditions of the bdsm comunity to be a gender neutral term for someone who is into both dominating and submitting.

It came into use via the the leatherman, who in turn got it from the male homo-sexual community who in turn adopted it from american baseball.

"A switch hitter" in baseball became initially in their circles a code for a man who liked to be the penatrator or Top as well as "switching" to be the penatratee or Bottom during sex.

Nothing beats Master but if I had to pick my favorite of those listed I would say Owner.

Why not a term from another language? That might help. I find that it just sounds better. Sometimes I feel, corny saying master or mistress or being called that. soooooo we try on italian or spanish or french and it just seems to work.

How about 'Sire'. It's got a bit of a male connection, but no reason it couldn't be gender neutral.

Since my relationship is mixed up-vanilla, top, bottom-I often call him simply "Beloved." It fits every situation, and it is true.

I have had a trans-gendered master before and I called her Dominant.

I normally use "Owner," but that's in general discussion. If I were looking for a term of address, "Ruler" comes to mind.
