I fear talking to people because they seem so kind at first then as i open up they leave me but the dark is always there it will never leave me even on the brightest dayit seems to be at my side. In my soul.

I suppose you could say it's about his personal philosophy. And he did use the word "soul", a religious concept, and one which is nebulous enough for even the most ardent philosopher.
