I'm a little confused and in two minds. My birthday was on Thursday and my master forgot. When I reminded him he called me stroppy. Am I wrong to be upset?

I wouldn't think so. The only reason I could see a Master being offended by that would be if he didn't know or if your relationship is such that it only exists for play and you guys don't know each other in any other way.

But it is kind of rude to forget someone's birthday and then get snarky when she reminds you.

we've been master and slave for around 6 years, but at times its a normal male female in love relationship. He knew when it was just forgot on the day

Well that was crappy of him, even if it is a Master/slave dynamic most of the time. I think he should at least apologize for getting pissy with you, even if he doesn't apologize for forgetting your birthday.

Your Master has let you down. He is very poor. You should order him to be your slave and show him what a REAL Master is.

I'm sorry hun it's never fun when Masters forget your birthday. I, too, am a little and I think I would also get upset. Talk to your Master about it, let Him know that you didn't want to be rude or anything just that you thought He would remember. If it's not a huge deal let it go and move on. Masters, whether we want to think it or not, can make mistakes too <3.

In my mind there is no excuse for that kind of sloppy behavior (forgetting important dates) and then to take offense at being reminded (speaks to be of an insecure Dominant who cannot be found fault with even when he is)

Lets b e a little neutral here. Yes its not good to forget a birthday but it happens. Lets not go overboard. As for calling her stroppy. Thats a strange choice of word isn't it. Of course that's not good but I'd like to know more about how she reminded him. Was she indignant, did she nag,. If so the question is how to tell somebody they forgot an important date.

Had I been her master on realizing I would arrange something special and tell her I don't celebrate birthdays, its expected, its not a surprise. I celebrate the 5th day after the birthday.

Birthdays are important to me... and that's why I don't let those around me forget it from about a week before it is the day. (This comes from having it forgotten for a long time and telling myself I don't care about it but I actually did care)

So, now I remind people, I refer to it, and I shamelessly tell them not to forget.

In life I've learned that some people react to embarrassment with defensiveness or even anger. Not a great reaction by far, but it may be an explanation?
