My friend DeSade asked to the part one of this~"if the flame consumes the match, what is left for the flame?"
This inspired me to make a part two...
The remnants of the match
lay there
the core of its existence seems gone
The flame though has other ideas
This flame is different from others
This flame
surrounds it
lifts it
renews it
The match is shocked
wonders how can this be so
The flame seeing the match
serve so beautifully
had no intention of
losing it to ashes
The flame looks at the match
"My fire may seem to consume you
but I will never let you disappear."
"I will push your limits
but never to more
than what you can withstand."
"You are protected."
"You are safe."
"You are mine."
The match
now understanding
looks up at the flame, smiling
"I trust you."
"You are safe."
"I am yours."
The match is happy
The match is home
The match is whole again
They Are Complete
