Do online only rships really work? I see many variables that would make it hard. But impossible? Needing some insight please.

I have to believe that they can otherwise I would be participating in something that couldn't work. Yes, they take a lot more work. Yes they have their downsides and their dangers. Yes they can be frustrating and aggravating. But they can also be as rewarding as any relationship.

Yes and No. It's like comparing the theatre to radio, They are different types of relationship each with different set of advantages and disadvantages. If somebody is looking for a real life partner then of course online will not tick all the boxes but it is better than nothing until the real life partner is found.

For people who do not want rl relationship then online is good and can last a lifetime. It should not be compared with a marriage as much as a friendship, modern pen pals with "benefit". If we look at history there have been many famous romantic pen pal relationships in the days we used the quill instead of keyboard.

In many regards online is better. There is no argument about whether the toilet seat should be up or down. Meetings are special occassions. I have had online relationship which lasted 5 years and would have gone on but for unfortunate change in circumstance.

As I said if you think of the theatre compared to radio you can see that each has advantages over the other depending on what the person wants.
