If you're feeling venturesome, or bored, you might use the "member search" function to find people to poke. I just searched for folks who've posted in the past month and found 54 names; that's noticeably lower than the number of people on-site (as I write this, 3 members and 96 guests are here but only one of the members - me - is posting just now) but it might offer a lead or two about where a visitor message might serve you well.
