I'm fairly new to this, and need a push in the right direction.... are there any dommes out there (or slaves!) who can give me suggestions? My pet says I'm too soft with him, and I think he needs to be taught a lesson! :D

Training and punishment are specific to the needs of each pet. I would not be comfortable suggesting a course fo action without having any details as to what your pet is referreing too or his currect level of training.

well, he's not trained to any degree yet. I've done 'lightweight' things like tying him up, playing with wax, spanking... that kind of thing. I was just hoping for some kind of inspiration about what else i could do. This is more about training me to be a good mistress really!

I would suggest that you have him complete a checklist. Then from the checklist you can determine what it is you like and then start his training in that area.

I have attached a link to a thread that has the checklist information. It is under post #13 my Nightstriker. The second and third links. I found the checklist very helpful in learning my skills as a mistress as well as learning more about my pet's needs. Do remember that his is there for your pleasure so enjoy yourself. Then if you need help just tell us the topic on the checklist. We can then try and give you some ideas. There are a lot of good links in this thread with some good information.

As Jade has mentioned, you must really know your sub. Punishment must be tailiored to each person. And if you are new at this, you may find that you need to take your time to refine your skills with any toys that you use.
Being a dom requires you to put a lot of thought into what you do. Both for pleasure and punishment. Do not let your sub goad you into a course of action.
Having your sub fill out a questionaire is a good starting point. Once you see what they desire and what they fear you will be able to come up with a plan.
And remember, punishment does not always have to involve pain. My slave is very claustrophobic and I often use this fear to punish her. She likes pain, so why would I spank her.
Maybe your sub needs you to humiliate him, no bathroom may work. Put him in a diaper. But until you know what his limits are and what he needs and wants a plan will be impossible to figure out.
More study will help you.
