:D :D :D :D :D Need I say more? Just attended my first local workshop this past Saturday. Fortunately, it was a BDSM Basics topic, so, while the thrill of finally taking the steps offline was exhilirating, the demonstration was good enough for me to make the transition. And while one of the other members did ask me to stay for 'more' when the workshop was done, my mind was still soaking in everything else so I figured I'd give it time to catch up. :p Next month, though... next month.......

First Taste of Leather

Tonight I was finally able to experience,
getting my feet wet in this Life I've only dreamed,
finally starting my path in the local scene,
just a taste of what the future could be.

Though I didn't say much,
I stayed a little aloof,
unsure of what to expect from the group,
unsure of what would be expected from me.

As the demonstration wrapped up,
everything said was still sinking in,
most of the rest looked forward to play,
and one even asked if I wanted to stay.

I shook my head and went through the door,
to sort out all that had happened,
but tonight I had my first taste of real Leather,
and I know that I'll go back for more.

I was thinking of starting at a munch, then heard about this and the price was cheaper. :-) The workshop was held at a GLCC, which sort of threw me off a little bit. I drove around the block a few times til I figured I was wasting too much gas, so decided to walk around the block instead! Finally saw somebody else go through the door first so I was able to follow behind. lol

Newbie here; and had to introduce myself and all my inexperience by saying I'm gearing up for my first time outside the comfort zone of the web. I've met individuals, yes. Made numerous online friends. Even had a couple sub males to enjoy (and vice versa, of course)... But the "group", hummm, I don't know what to expect. I like my comfort zone, lol... Can anybody tell me what SOCAL has in the way of first timers coming in.... Welcoming, iconoclastic, cliquish? Any advice, guidance or *howdy Newbie* is much appreciated.
