I am a long time gamer and usually the Dungeon Master most of the time, so I am always looking for new ideas to incorporate in my games. It also means that I tend to think in “world building”terms. When I read a story, I will fill in the blanks, wonder how this leads to that and where this story would next lead to.

After reading Animal Slave Rescue by jaeangel, I had a few ideas and since she is occupied with being published, I thought I would post them here to see if I could inspire some similar stories from other writers.

Here are some new words and terms from the future dictionary of the Animal Slave Rescue setting.

“Fur Ball”: This is a slang term used by professional Animal Slave Trainers to refer to those individuals between person and animal. They are legally animal slaves, but have yet to begin their formal training.
But for those in SPCA, it is not a cute term, it refers to those forcibly kidnaped and about to be illegally converted to animal slaves. While most of these furballs could just stand up and return to their lives, animal slave law clearly states that once a subject has become an animal slave, they can never be legally human again. There have been many challenges to this law, but none have succeeded. The most recent was a famous Hollywood producer who daughter was kidnaped for ransom and after he paid it, he discovered she had been reclassified by them. He fought the law, but only ended up with a new puppygirl for his troubles.

“Stray” : This term has three meanings;
First, just as any stray animal, animal slaves can get out of your yard and wander around the neighborhood. They will of course be treated as any stray animal and may be picked up by animal control. Since all legal animal slaves have a data/tracking implant, it usually is not to difficult to find their owners.

Second, occasionally animal slaves can “slip” in their training. Usually this is due to lack of care, but occasionally the human mind can just snap back into place. These type of strays will need to be retrained with a refresher course. Also it is not unheard of a stray animal slave like this trying to reenter human society. This can cause problems if they pass long enough to have children, since by law those children are potential animal slaves themselves

The third type of stray is caused by a rescue of the slave. There are still organizations that fight against slavery, and especially with unwilling animal slaves, these groups will try to “save” the animal slave. They have developed methods of breaking training, and are even trying to reprogram their implants, but due to the simple fact that most animal slaves are voluntary, these groups are not considered a major problem.

“Poser Pet”: Even with pet slaves legal, there are still those that like to play bondage games. But with the modern methods of S&M available, sometimes they will take things too far. This creates a situation where you have someone who is legally a human, but mentally a pet slave. There are a few clinics that can break the training, but usually it is easier to just go ahead an make them a pet slave.

“FFA”: As mentioned before, once you become an animal slave, you can’t go back. This has created a potential problem for teenagers. If they impulsively decide to become a pet slave, they are stuck. To help combat this the FFA was created, Future Farm animals of America is a program that allows teens to experience the pet slave lifestyle without having to permanently live in a pen. A side benefit is that it also allows those interested in becoming trainers and even owners to get the proper training as well. Some future trainers even take the opportunity to go through the animal slave training to better understand the mind of their future animal slaves.

“Gelded Ponygirls”: Ponygirls remain more popular than ponyboys, but do have the one drawback that they are usually not big enough to actually carry a rider. And while steroid treatments are available to increase the size of a ponygirl, gelded ponygirls are the more popular option. A male animal slave, usually a young one as they will respond to the hormone training better, will be transformed not only in species but in gender as well. Plastic surgery and hormones will be used, so that at maturity she will be a beautiful pony girl that is large enough to carry a rider. There have been some legal arguments about changing the gender of an animal slave without their permission, but so far to actually decision has been made against gelded ponygirls. But due to these legal arguments, several pony farms do now have this option listed in the slave contract of those who wish to become Ponygirls.

“Long Pigs”: Cannibalism has been a taboo subject that has time to time surfaced even in the 21st century. With animal slaves, it has become legal. But you have to obtain both a cannibal license and include the option in a given animal slave’s contract into slavery. With the discovery that some people have a genetic immunity to the Prion disease associated with cannibalism, you have to be tested to get a license and there are some gene therapy technics available for those without the proper genetic combination. There are also a few Animal slave farms that have started raising these animals for this new market using new gene therapies to modify the pet slave’s meat to match the flavor of certain animals.

“Breeding Bitches”: The possibility of using animal organs for transplants in people has been a theory and occasional practice for a long time. But with the development of modern gene therapies, it is now a reality. The original development of Gallitz Pigs, pigs with human organs that can be engineered to match the receiver’s DNA so there is no chance of rejection, have become a basic medical procedure. The use of this technology on animal slaves is a recent development. According to rumor, it was a transsexual who received the gene-altered female organs of a dog from a back alley clinic that started this procedure. She was surprised when she went into heat a few months later and even more surprised when she gave birth to a litter of puppies 6 months later.

This has led to zoos using breeding bitches, animal slaves with animal reproductive organs, to repopulate endangered species. In fact many environmentalist volunteered to become animal slaves to save many species. Most use in vitro impregnation, but some prefer nature to take a more natural course. And it is not uncommon for male slaves to be used as breeding bitches for larger animal species.

“Vore Slaves”: With the breeding bitch programs at many zoos, the ownership of dangerous animals has become more popular. Of course feeding those animals can be a problem. Most of the meat comes from animal slaves that are put down due to neglect, but some people feel that the animals need to hunt for their food. This has led to the development of Vore slaves, those who exist to feed these large carnivore. These slave are trained to be hunted, to run but eventually be caught and eaten.

“Veal Slaves”: Named not for their meat, but for how they are maintained. These slaves have donated their bodies to medicine and their organs will be used as replacements when needed. While there are alternatives, see the Gallitz Pigs above, many people prefer a human organs for their replacement. Veal slaves are kept in a tight cage, safe from any harm. If they are owned by an individual, they may receive gene therapy to prevent any rejection of their organs. And it is not uncommon for them to live up to their name with their meat serving as a feast when the patient recovers from their operation.

“Free Range Pet Slaves”: These are animal slaves trained to be hunted. They are trained and released into a hunting zone. They are allowed up to a month to “learn the land” before hunting season begins. Those killed are usually mounted by trained pet slave taxidermists. It is not uncommon for regular pet slaves to be used in hunts as a way of getting rid of an old slave.
There are even “Mermaid” tours now available where specially trained pet slaves will swallow your fishing hook so you can reel them in.

“Working Pet Slaves”: Not all pet slaves are for pleasure, some are used for specific jobs.

“Guard dogs”: Animal Slave guard dogs have almost replaced natural dogs since they are more intelligent and can respond to unknown situations better. Although most guard dog packs are lead by a specially trained natural dog. All pet slaves working under him have been trained to be submissive to him, usually including being mounted by him.

“Seeing-Eye Pet Slave”: Despite all the advanced of modern medical science, blindness is still an incurable problem. The role of “seeing-eye dogs” has been replaced by pet slaves, often a relative of the person will give up their humanity to protect their loved one.

“Laboratory Pet Slaves”: One of the main reasons for the recent advances of medicine is due to the fact that medical facilities have stopped testing on animals and are now using animal slaves. Since they are working on what was once human, they have made many great advances.

“Companion Pets”: Pet slaves have not eliminated the use of real animals as pets and many people do combine the two, providing an animal slave as a companion and even mate to their family dog.

“Mortgage Slave”: The laws concerning bankruptcy have changed since Animal Slaves became legal. Now whenever you file, someone will be sold into pet slavery to pay off the fees. You would think this would stop people from filing, but it has only slowed it down a little.

“Corporate Pets”: Some companies take corporate security to extreme limits. Many now include a pet slave clause in contracts to keep secrets from being leaked. Unfortunately, the lure of easy money has made corporate pets out of many employees.
