Better late than never

I've been toying with the idea of joining this since it first opened, finally decided to bite the bullet and give it a go.

I haven't done much creative writing for quite a while, some very short stuff, some very bad poetry, nothing fit for an audience. I used to do a lot more of it, I just let it taper off.
I think I have above average spelling/grammar, and I can write a mean essay when I need to, but I've never been able to develop those creative skills I've always wanted. Hopefully this will help and I'll be able to stick with it. The subject matter is good, anyways!
