Philip was excited about this referral. If she really was neurasthenic, this would be a perfect opportunity to reintroduce a therapeutic cure that had fallen from favor which he felt had a place in modern medicine. A successful outcome would validate and vindicate his theories, not to mention the wonders it would do for his practice once word got out.
This could be more lucrative than writing the next fad diet book.
He checked his watch and saw that it was nearly time for this, the last appointment of the afternoon. He buzzed his receptionist.
"Anita? Has the new patient checked in yet?"
