Yep. Along with tattoos and drug abuse; snoring has become a no-no for young Chinese recruits. The officials haven't said how exactly they'll be testing for that particular military failing, but I'm sure they'll find a way.
I personally love this and think it should be expanded to include chattering teeth, talking in your sleep, and people who just sweat too damn much when they sleep.

Snoring keeps the predators away from the cave. It's an evolutionary advantage to sound like a lion in the veldt...
...but I can see their point. Don't want to give away your dug in position when accidently nodding off... infrared satellite surveilence not withstanding. LOL

Reminds me of the guy who dreamt he was eating marshmallows all night- woke up to find his pillow gone....
