Well maybe this has been done to death, but I couldn't find a reference on this forum
What if any, rituals do you subscribe to? Do you think it's important to have them?
We're talking D/s play here- of course...
I'm just starting out with a lovely young lady but have a couple in place or on the negotiation table. I want her to wear something of my choosing to bed one night a week for one. I think I'd ask her before mentioning anything else.
Just a simple thing, but it gives me a tingle just thinking about it. :)
I love rituals myself, how about you guys? We don't seem to say that much about what we do sometimes, for fear of sounding full of ourselves or privacy concerns.

We like rituals. We have a mantra that we wrote together which we often say to each other and plan to have it as part of our collaring ceremony early next year.
I do have things I'm expected to wear at all times, like my collar and dresses and skirts only, unless I'm working out or have special permission. I am not allowed to wear panties unless with permission.
We usually sit on our deck after dinner with a cup of hot tea while talking and enjoying each other's company.
We always go to bed at the same time.
And my personal favorite is that we have Friday Night spanking. We decided that a scheduled spanking once a week would keep us focused on our D/s. Plus, it's so very intimate and often leads to much more then a spanking. :)

Rituals are good for those of us who are schedulers. I don't have any right now but would love to have quite a few of them.

Online, I usually ask for a pre-bedtime posing ritual. Length and difficulty increase over time. I like being the last thing on their mind before sleep... and dreams.

Um anyway, getting back to the ritual thing- I also ask katie to tell me one thing she likes about herself each day.
One I have with another girl, I ask her to wear her collar to bed each Sunday night, play with herself til she's hot, stop & go to sleep. She's single, of course...
I try & put my girls to bed every night if I can. That's real nice. :)
I guess giving them names is a ritual as well.

My master and I used to have a Saturday morning ritual. He would cook me breakfast and we would eat it together naked. He would sit at the table and I would sit on the floor and eat from a dog bowl. After breakfast he would fuck me from behind over the breakfast island in the kitchen. It was a nice way to start Saturday morning.

I am outright jealous!!!!!!!
My former Dominant (my only Dominant) always thought of creative and wonderful rituals for me. In that respect he was for me and I for him, very literally, the first thought and last thought of each and every day.
Way to go Tojo!!!!!!!
