Lot's of mind control stories are in the guise of science experiments.
Love Potion Number 9 does it in a PG sort of way.

lol, seriously hope that my memory doesn't fail me on this one...but that was not really nc! People signed up and were paid for this. I guess you could argue that things heated up during the process...*shudders*
It's an awesome experiment, though, strong stuff...psychology used to be interesting in those times.
