What kind of scenes do you look for?
Do you like a story line or one the goes straight to the good stuff?
Is there anything that you wish the film had more of?

I'm sure i could think of a million more questions. I am basically looking for input on what other BDSMers consider a good film.

I have a friend that works in the adult film industry and I am trying to convince him to embark on a BDSM project. Everyone wish me luck!!

I haven't found more than a couple crappy titles on dvd at any of the local adult shops, but obviously the internet is a huge resource for any type of porn, bdsm included.

BDSM porn huh? We are talking videos correct? If we are the interenet has a much better variaty that I can even hope to find in a store. However if you must have the DVD and packet and all. Evil Empire series (this is the company that makes them, sort of like Vivid) has a pretty ok selection. Then it depends on what your looking for, are we looking for rope bondage, or whipping, or bondage including sex? Many of the BDSM oriented videos don't include sex. If you want the ones without sex (for use during a party for instance) I would advise looking at the video's they sell where you purchase your BDSM toys.

Well now we have a much differnet subject.

Ideas for porn, I assume we are talking video again. So with a story line in mind. The naughty school girl theme is rather popular as is the Nurse paitent theme. If your looking for what activities are enjoyed, drooling from gags rarely is looked good upon, but I find it erotic even so. Should the video convey some sort of message? Well although it's not "porn" I find the movie "the secretary" to be highly erotic. To me if the porn industry could strive for this level of movie making, I think it would be appealing. The way that girl didn't move regardless of who was there or what they tried to do to make her move. She stayed, I found that highly erotic. The yoke she wore while performing her duties was also extremely erotic.

Since BDSM its self is more than just regular sex, or sometimes not even sex. Having elements that are erotic more that sexual seems to me to be appealing. People having sex is so boaring to me, however a woman who is tied up, and begging for more, now that is very erotic. Her hands and ankles bound together her face on the cold cement, as she begs the man (or woman depending on the style of video) to please make her cum with a vigiours rogering. That to me is very erotic.

Then you have psycological style videos. The virtual nieve woman who stumbles upon a dungeon the things she finds there stirring images in her mind, her seeing the differnt items in the dungeon being used, her the one being used on them, in her minds eye. So she ends up not knowing if she is remember or hoping for what she sees her self doing.

Then you have fethish videos. Ones that focus on a particular intrest. Such as rubber, or latex, or some other fetish such as gas masks, or breath control. You could also delve into the water sports scene, or some other perverse activty.

Really it depends on the audience your trying to reach, and your ability to get your product to those interested in purchasing it.

Just like in "vanilla" porn ... I'd like characters and plot, so what's happening can make a difference to me. And no, I'm male, lol. Just watching "the good stuff" for its own sake may make a difference if it's very very good quality, but I think a decent back story and exposition would make even an average quality shoot at least "interesting" to watch.

There is a very good movie, with some BDSM undertones in it, with romance, it is called "Killing Me Softly" you might like it. It is a rather new title - let me know what you think about it - I enjoyed it.
